  • Seek out and secure entertainment acts to perform at the Hull Street Collection on Saturday 3rd march 2018. 

  • Liaise with entertainment acts to secure timings, location, duration of act, promotion of event on their social channels.

  • Keep Community Fundraiser up to date on work carried out and acts secured in time for the day

  • Create a rota of entertainment for the event including details about the act, contact information, special requirements for the day and share with community Fundraiser

  • Be available on the day to meet and greet the acts and ensure everything runs smoothly

Availability

We will need a volunteer to fill this role from January 2018 to march 2018. we would expect the volunteer to give dedicated time to this role for 3-4 hours per week which will be flexible to fit around their course. The role is home based with regular contact with the community fundraiser to monitor workload and offer support.

Do you want to help disadvantaged kids?? Want to get into teaching?? Hull Childrens University are looking for positive enthusiastic volunteers to become a "BUDDY" for a small group of three or four children and supporting them on some fantastic experience trips helping them bring learning to life.



There are lots of trips to choose from and you can dip in and out with no specific obligation to attend all trips/outings.



This is not really a task but a wonderful opportunity to have some fun and help children have fun whilst learning. 

Location

All over!! There are lots of activities going on in HULL such as museum visits and business visits as well as fantastic trips to LONDON where they get to see houses of parliament, get up close to 10 downing street and see the palace with a trip on the london eye. or "NIGHT IN THE MUSEUM" where children stay over night in Londons biggest museum and sleep with the dinosaurs!!



If that doesnt wow you then try "KIP ON A SHIP" HMS Belfast becomes their bed for the night how cool is that and all the time the children are gaining valuable learning experiences with you as their mentor.

Training is provided and DBS checks are completed as you start

You will probably learn as much as the children on these wonderful trips and will benefit them if you have a positive outlook and happy personality

Availability

We deliver an average of 3 modules per week so there are always plenty of experiences for mentors to take part in. there is NO set amount of activities you must attend you can take part in them once a month or once a year acting as a positive role model that so many of these  children need.

This opportunity is based at Millview within the Castle Hill Hospital grounds. The inpatient unit accommodates older people who are unwell with mental health conditions.


 


A volunteer has been requested to help with running a weekly singing group to improve wellbeing of our patients

What kind of support/supervision will you receive?

Training will be provided as needed

Personal qualities and requirements

Singing, performing or directing experience would be advantageous in this role, you must be friendly and bubbly

Work-ready skills you will learn or develop

An interest in singing, preferably with some experience of running or assisting with a choir or singing group.


An interest in mental health and wellbeing is beneficial, as is patience and empathy.


A Trust induction alongside a placement induction will be provided. Additional training opportunities such as First Aid, mental health awareness and personal and team safety are available.


Expenses for public transport or mileage are reimbursed.

Availability

Mondays or Wednesdays would be preferable.
