Winding tables
Submitted by Emily-Jayne L.

In the library, there are tables which wind up and down for disabled students to make it easier for them to do their work. However, there are not many and for someone who may look able bodied but are in fact disabled, use these tables as they help them to be more comfortable in the library. There needs to be more of these within the library and across campus so students who have disabilities or severe medical problems, are not restricted to sitting in one area in the library but across campus.

19/10/2018 **UPDATE**
The University committed to installing more of these in March 2018. I will be meeting with the equality, diversity and inclusion team of the library to discuss their strategy on the 25th October. I will raise this issue with them directly to see what changes have been made.

A response from the University of Hull! &quot; Thanks for the email. I&rsquo;m happy to look at introducing more adjustable height tables, funds permitting. I have cc&rsquo;d our Head of Customer Services, who manages the Brynmor Jones space.&quot; <br />
We will update you further once we have a final answer - Positive step forward though :)

19/03/2018 - **UPDATE**
HUU's Disabled Student Officer has taken this up and will be working on it for the rest of the year. As they progress I will make sure to keep you updated.
