Volunteering Opportunity of the Week: Operation Hostel Garden
Do you want to volunteer but don't have the time to commit to a regular project? Come and help renovate a garden for a local hostel for one day only! You can drop in, put in a few hours and leave, satisfied that you have made a contribution to the community. Volunteers will be helping to cut back branches, plant bulbs and seeds, do a spot of weeding and do a general tidy up. Wear old clothes and gardening gloves will be provided. Groups of students would be very welcome - the more the merrier! The hostel is very kindly providing lunch for all helpers too.
We will be helping out on Saturday 29th March between 10am and 3pm. If you would be interested in joining us, please contact Naomi Alty on firstname.lastname@example.org by with your name, student number and when you would like to come along (ie, full day, morning or afternoon). Please also let us know of any dietary requirements if you would like to stay for lunch. If you would like to book for a group, please give the above details for all students who will be attending.
The HUSSO AGM will be taking place on Wednesday 26th March from 1.30pm in Meeting Room 4. This meeting allows anyone involved or interested with HUSSO to come along, where we will discuss what has happened with HUSSO over the past year and what is planned for the next academic year. The executive committee will also be voted in at the AGM - if anyone would like to stand as an Area Co-ordinator, please contact Kiel on email@example.com by Wednesday 19th May at the latest.comments powered by Disqus
