HUU Women's Officer and Young Future London Present - The Jam

Last month, HUU celebrated Black History Month, with Give it a Go events, student performances and a visit to Asylum for DJ Edu! We loved seeing you perform and enjoy the celebrations throughout October.

A particular highlight of the month was 'The Jam'; an evening of music, spoken word, dance, poetry, local rising music stars, BBC Introducing guests and many more talents from incredible students and performers. Women's Officer, Jacqueline Gomez-Navas worked incredibly hard on the event which featured performances from Abisola Solola, Nilanthan Sriranjan, Jennifer James, Maddie Cookson, Marcello Di Pierro, Amber Bisamalli, Daniel Gibson, Stephanie Lyszyk, Jessica Yeboah, Tayo Adeleye, Kojo Kyei, Azonto Spartans and Afro-Street Dance Society.

"Every single one of these students showed real selflessness and commitment by volunteering their time. They're all the epitome of amazing and phenomenal students with a heart of gold!"

    Jacqueline Gomes-Navas - HUU Women's Officer

A HUUge thank you to Jacqueline for organising such a successful event! We're looking forward to seeing more performances like this soon!
