The John Godber Company, Theatre Royal Wakefield and Hull 2017 present The Kings of Hull @ Hull New Theatre

After a multi-million pound facelift for Hull 2017, take advantage of these subsidised tickets to the theatre!

The Kings of Hull tells the remarkable story of the King family across three generations. From life on the docks, to Hull prison, a lottery win and success in the coal trade; this is a family whose sons and daughters are struggling to cope in a changing world.

The Kings are a family bonded by love but divided by rugby, a river and sibling rivalry. Join us at their Golden Wedding, before the gloves come off; for a celebration of life in town, from the 1960s through to Brexit and beyond. Whether it’s love, hate, success or failure, the Kings always come out fighting.

An expansive and hilariously irreverent new comedy, written and directed by John Godber. Featuring the music of Ruby and the Vinyl.

This event is included in the WelcomeFest wristband on a first come, first served basis, with an additional charge of £5. Tickets may also be purchased separately for those who have not bought a WelcomeFest wristband at £10 each.Tickets are not available online during the WelcomeFest period.
