Hello and welcome to the Education Zone website, your first port of call for information on what campaigns and events are going on, how to best communicate any issues on your course and how to get help if you need it. The Education Zone is one of the five zones that comprise the organisational and representative structure at HUU. The Zone comprises of 9 voting members on Union Council and is headed by the VP Education, Matthew Barrow who was elected the previous academic year.
At the heart of the Education Zone is the Course Representative system, comprising of over 400 elected volunteers from all over the University. They are there to represent your issues to the University and to us here at the Union. If you have any issue with your course or the University – grab your rep today! Anyone can be a Course Representative; all you need is enthusiasm and a desire to get the student message heard by members of the University. Becoming a Course Representative is one of the most worthwhile things you can do whilst at University; not only does it allow you to have a say on your education but it looks great on your CV!
