SOGI SOC believe we should be inclusive of everyone who wants to explore issues surrounding sexual/romantic orientation and gender identity, whether they are absolutely certain of their identity and orientation or confused. Typically this would be the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans but also other sexualities and gender identities, including being Heterosexual. However, the SOGI Soc Exec feel that what is deemed as LGBT/LGBTQ is so much more than that.
Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity [SOGI SOC] is an society for ALL and welcome ALL to join our ranks! We do not require our members to self define and do not pigeon hole people into respective "lesbian, gay etc" we are all people and thats how members will be treated. Within our meetings, we welcome everyone, even straight people, to have input into discussion and offer support, be it in an 'open' or a 'closed' meeting.
