Human Rights Action Human Rights Action is now in its fourth year of being a University society. The group works hard to be do at least one campaign every two weeks; we raise money and awareness amongst the student population to help try and combat human rights abuses across the world.
Whilst we do deal with the more famous human rights campaigns such as the Free Tibet and Burma movements we are very open to taking on less known causes; one example being a recent campaign to raise money to help a charity that helps victims of sex trafficking in the Humberside area. Any member can come forward at a meeting and propose a campaign idea.
Human Rights Action meets every Thursday in Sanctuary at 6.30 (we always have a sign so we are easy to spot); we also have frequent socials and are free to join.
So if you wish to get involved in a society that is extremely active and passionate about its cause then do please come and join us!
