Student Activities Centre

Student Activities Centre:
The Student Activities Centre is your one stop shop for all the activities you will ever need while at university. Situated on the 1st floor of the Union you can join and set up Societies, sign up to International Students Association trips, get help with organising events, find out what upcoming events other students are putting on and things that are going on in the local community, and many other things too!

Societies:
Welcome to HUU Societies! Within these pages you will find an abundance of information on how to join a society, how to create your own, and all the benefits that you'll get from being involved with us! f you are interested in one of our 90+ societies, then come and see VP Community or the Student Activities Coordinator in the big green Student Activities Centre or Volunteering Hub on the first floor of the Students' Union building. Office hours are Monday-Friday 10-4pm.

How to join:
In order to become a member of any society all you need to do is go along to the Student Activities Centre (SAC) and ask to sign up! Alternatively you can sign up online (Click Here). Different societies charge different amounts for their annual membership, and if you haven’t joined a society you will have to pay the £2 HUU Societies Fee. This £2 goes into a grant fund that all ratified societies have access to. If you have any questions regarding society membership, fees, or contacting any of the societies listed please contact Adam Sheridan (Student Activities Coordinator) a.sheridan@hull.ac.uk 01482 466269

HUU: Give It A Go
Give It A Go (GIAG) is all about trying something new. Get involved in a wide range of weird and wonderful activities on a no commitment, no strings attached basis. You can do as few or as many activities as you like – Just pay and play! Activities will be advertised within the Union building and on hullstudent.com The GIAG events for 2011 are currently ongoing and tickets can be purchased from the Box Office at the Students' Union reception.

The Box Office is open Monday-Friday 10am - 4pm and payment can be made by cash or Credit/Debit card (there is a 50p charge for all Credit/Debit card transactions)
Events are available only to students and staff of the University of Hull. You may be asked to provide our student/staff card when purchasing tickets. Tickets to events must be bought in person; we regret that telephone or internet sales are not available.

If an event is listed as free you will still need to register for the event at the Box Office, unless otherwise stated on the events page.

If you have any questions or suggestions for activities please contact Adam Sheridan (Student Activities Co-ordinator) a.sheridan@hull.ac.uk 01482 466269
