Hull University Men’s Lacrosse is currently one of the university’s fastest growing clubs and is making a favourable reputation for itself in the Athletics’ Union. Having only been founded in 2007 the club is now a 40 people strong team and has a number of sponsorships and funds that have enabled it to expand and unfold. No previous experience with the sport is required beforehand and the club now boasts a sizeable number of its own kit for those who want to try out and play without having to buy all the necessary equipment. The clubs also provides local coaches to help improve both experienced and new player. Apart from competing in BUCS and various other competitions, the club also takes part in different Fresher’s Fest tournaments scattered throughout the year so all newcomers to the sport have the opportunity to play and get match time experience. The club also has strong link with the local Lacrosse club so there will be plenty of chance to get practice and experience. The club also has an active social side which enables members to get to know each other and bond. Going into its fifth year the club is in a strong position within the University and has a good relationship with many of the other AU clubs, as well as having one of the brightest futures in the Athletics’ Union.
