Advice Centre
The aim of the Advice Centre is to provide free, impartial, confidential, advice and information to all students at Hull University. We do not aim to take your problem away from you but to give you the knowledge and skills to tackle it yourself.
We are an Advice UK member and subscribe to Citizens Advice, Advisernet. Both organisations provide us with updated information that enables the Advice Centre to give current and accurate information at all times. We are a Students' Union Service and have a good working relationship with University Departments and Student Support Services but, importantly, we remain independent from all bodies. We also have strong links with local and national agencies, so in the event that we cannot help, we can usually find someone who can.
Visiting the Advice Centre:
The Advice Centre is a confidential service and nothing you tell us will be revealed to anyone outside the Advice Centre without your express permission. We will always obtain your signed authority before contacting other agencies and will make sure that we have permission to contact you or leave messages by phone or mail. A copy of our confidentiality policy is available on request.
